HOST TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: 27 July 2026
1. Introduction
These Host Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Daittons (Pty) Ltd (“Daittons”, “we”, “our” or “us”) and every person who applies to become, or is approved as, a Destination Host on the Daittons Destination Support platform.
By submitting a host application, completing the verification process, paying any applicable verification or subscription fees, or using the platform as a Destination Host, you agree to be bound by these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Host Verification Policy, Code of Conduct and any other applicable platform policies.
Daittons Destination Support is owned and operated by Daittons (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
Destination Host means an individual approved by Daittons to market and provide one or more destination support services through the platform.
Visitor means any person using the platform to search for hosts, submit enquiries, post service requests or obtain destination support services.
Service Request means a request submitted by a visitor through the Daittons platform inviting suitable hosts to apply.
Daittons Matching means Daittons’ optional matching service through which suitable hosts may be recommended for specific visitor requirements.
Verification means the approval process carried out by Daittons before a host profile is published, which may include identity verification, criminal record checks, reference checks, suitability assessment and verification of legal residency or legal entitlement to provide services.
Standard Host means a verified host approved to provide destination support services through the platform.
Elite Host means a higher-tier verified host who has met additional Daittons requirements and is awarded enhanced platform visibility together with an Elite Host badge.
3. The Daittons Platform
Daittons Destination Support is a destination-based marketplace that connects visitors with trusted local hosts who provide practical destination support services.
The platform enables visitors to:
- Search for hosts by destination and service.
- Contact hosts directly.
- Post Service Requests for suitable hosts to apply.
- Use Daittons Matching where available.
- Compare verified host profiles before making a decision.
The platform enables approved hosts to:
- Create and manage a professional host profile.
- Market approved services within their destinations.
- Receive direct enquiries from visitors.
- Apply for relevant Service Requests.
- Be considered for Daittons Matching opportunities.
- Build credibility through verification and host classification.
Daittons provides the platform, verification framework and marketplace infrastructure but is not automatically a party to the service agreement entered into between a visitor and a host unless expressly stated otherwise.
4. Independent Host Status
Every Destination Host listed on Daittons operates as an independent Daittons Partner.
Approval, verification, listing on the platform or payment of any verification or subscription fee does not create an employment relationship between the host and Daittons.
Nothing contained in these Terms creates or implies:
- employment;
- agency;
- partnership in the legal sense;
- joint venture;
- franchise; or
- authority for a host to bind or represent Daittons,
unless Daittons expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
Each host remains solely responsible for:
- the services they choose to offer;
- the quality of those services;
- their conduct;
- pricing discussions with visitors;
- taxes and statutory obligations;
- licences, permits and regulatory compliance;
- insurance where applicable; and
- all other obligations arising from the services they provide.
5. Host Eligibility
To apply as a Destination Host, applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be legally residing in the country where they intend to provide services.
- Have the legal right to provide the services they offer in accordance with applicable laws.
- Successfully complete the Daittons verification process.
- Meet Daittons’ suitability requirements.
- Agree to comply with all Daittons policies and standards.
Foreign nationals are welcome to apply provided they can demonstrate their legal right to reside in the country through an eligible immigration status, including where applicable:
- Permanent residence;
- A valid work permit or work visa;
- A qualifying study permit that legally permits the holder to provide the intended services; or
- Recognised refugee or asylum documentation granting the legal right to work or provide services.
Applicants who cannot satisfy Daittons’ eligibility or verification requirements may be declined.
Approval as a Destination Host is entirely at the discretion of Daittons.
6. Host Applications and Approval
Submitting a host application does not automatically result in approval.
As part of the application process, Daittons may request information including:
- Personal details;
- Contact information;
- Destination(s) served;
- Services offered;
- Relevant experience;
- Languages spoken;
- Availability;
- Supporting documents;
- References; and
- Any other information reasonably required to assess the application.
Daittons reserves the right to approve, decline, defer or withdraw any application where necessary to protect visitors, maintain platform quality, comply with legal requirements or safeguard the reputation of the Daittons brand.
Daittons is not obliged to provide reasons for declining an application.
7. Verification and Onboarding
Before a host profile can be published on Daittons, every applicant must successfully complete the Daittons verification and onboarding process.
Verification is intended to promote trust, safety and confidence for visitors using the platform. Verification does not create an employment relationship between the host and Daittons, nor does it guarantee continued approval or future bookings.
Depending on the services offered, Daittons may require one or more of the following:
- Identity verification
- Criminal record checks
- Reference checks
- Suitability assessment
- Verification of legal residency or legal right to provide services
- Contact information verification
- Review of host profile information
- Review of relevant licences, permits or supporting documentation
- Submission of photographs or other supporting material where applicable
Applicants may be required to attend interviews, provide additional documentation or participate in onboarding sessions before approval.
Daittons may request updated verification documents or conduct additional verification at any time while a host remains listed on the platform.
Failure to cooperate with verification requirements may result in an application being declined or an existing profile being suspended or removed.
8. Host Classification
Daittons currently offers the following host classifications.
